Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland lost against Marion Harding back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Highland Fighting Scots fell 52-42 to the Marion Harding Presidents. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Presidents are ranked 79th).

Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Kadyn Reichenbach, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Young, who posted four points.

Highland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9. As for Marion Harding, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Highland will take on Shelby at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion Harding, they will challenge River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in River Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
