Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Syracuse was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Mountain Ridge Sentinels 3-2.

Syracuse was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (108-104), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13.

Gabe Meredith paced Syracuse's offense, picking up 17 kills. Meredith got some help from Talon Morris and his 39 assists. Kayl Beutler controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Syracuse pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.
