Flag Football Recap: Elizabeth Piles Up the Points Against Lincoln

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elizabeth). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 52-6 win over the Lincoln Lancers. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Lacy Antinora went supernova, throwing for 128 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. What's more, she racked up 116.7 passer rating, the most she's had since back in September.

Elizabeth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Emma Guhl and Olivia Nelson were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Erika Hefty was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Elizabeth's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lincoln, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Elizabeth will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponderosa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will head out to face off against Manual at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Lancers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
