Softball Recap: Healdsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Montgomery on Tuesday, Healdsburg came back down to earth. The Greyhounds came up short against the Piner Prospectors on Thursday, falling 12-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their meetings with the Prospectors: they've now lost four in a row.

Izzy Osborn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Healdsburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Piner, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Healdsburg will face off against rival Santa Rosa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Piner is set to square off against their familiar foe Elsie Allen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
