Baseball Recap: Stanton County Takes a Loss

Stanton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ulysses Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since April 1st.

Stanton County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Ramos, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Stanton County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Ulysses, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-12 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Stanton County by a score of 9-4 later that day.
