Volleyball Recap: Everett Alvarez Comes Up Short

Everett Alvarez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Palma Chieftains. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in March.

Everett Alvarez took Palma into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25, 17-15.

Everett Alvarez's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Palma, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Looking ahead, Everett Alvarez will face off against Pacific Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palma, they will square off against Willow Glen at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
