Recap: El Campo Ricebirds vs. Stafford Spartans
The El Campo Ricebirds can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 27-17 victory over Stafford. That's another feather in the cap for El Campo, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Stephen Norman, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Norman was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards. Another player making a difference was Ja?Kwuan Hudlin, who gained 154 total yards.
El Campo's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Stafford, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
El Campo will head out on the road to face off against Brazosport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brazosport is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Stafford will take on Bay City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
