Baseball Recap: Sand Rock Has No Trouble Against Geraldine

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cherokee County, Sand Rock was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Geraldine Bulldogs by a score of 10-5. That looming 10-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Sand Rock got a big performance out of Caidan Bullard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Bullard also put up a stolen base, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cam Gifford, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sand Rock's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Geraldine, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Sand Rock will have a chance to go back-to-back against Geraldine: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
