Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Comes Up Short

Alexandria City played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Woodbridge Vikings 69-37. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Alexandria City's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Thompson, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was John Wszalek, who posted eight points.

Among those leading the charge was Kaci Jones-Carr, who scored 17 points and seven rebounds. Ty Wanzer was another key player, putting up nine points.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Woodbridge, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Alexandria City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maret at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodbridge, they will be home for the holidays to greet Forest Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
