Soccer Game Preview: Wai'anae vs. Radford

The Wai'anae Seariders are taking a road trip to square off against the Radford Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Wai'anae headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for five straight, but Waialua let them put that streak behind them. It was close, but Wai'anae ultimately received the gift of a 6-5 victory from a begrudging Wai'anae squad. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Radford). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past 'Aiea 2-1.

The victory got Radford back to even at 2-2. As for Wai'anae, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Wai'anae came up short against Radford when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Wai'anae avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
