Volleyball Recap: Huntington Huntsmen vs. Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs

Huntington proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs 3-2. The Huntsmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-93) Huntington actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-21, 12-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Lydia Black paced Huntington's offense, picking up 19 kills. Black got some help from Leighton Keiser and her 30 assists. Black was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
