Basketball Recap: Sprayberry Comes Up Short

Sprayberry lost against Riverwood back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverwood Raiders.

Jr Leonard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverwood, going 11 for 25 on his way to 36 points and eight rebounds. The matchup was Leonard's third in a row with at least ten points. Myles Nobles was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Sprayberry's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Riverwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Sprayberry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-63 loss against Sequoyah on the 14th. Riverwood has also already played their next game, a 69-55 victory against Pope on the 14th.
