It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bloomington Central Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Columbia Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Saints' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Kampbell Niepagen paced Bloomington Central Catholic's offense, picking up 12 kills. Niepagen got some help from Josie Certa and her 28 assists. Regan Baker controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bloomington Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 36-6. As for Columbia, the win was the 25th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-1.
