Softball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Takes a Loss

Crimson Cliffs fell victim to Springville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Jordyn Cluff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.

On the hitting side, Crimson Cliffs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aviana Park, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Crimson Cliffs' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Springville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Crimson Cliffs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against Hurricane on the 24th. As for Springville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Snow Canyon on the 20th.
