Volleyball Recap: Homewood Falls Short Against Ranked Spain Park + How To Watch

Homewood faced Spain Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Patriots have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Homewood was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Mae Noerager and Sarah Johnson, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Kamryn Coleman and her 16 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Spain Park found their leader in freshman Camdyn Kyes, who had nine digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Kyes is now averaging an impressive 2.5 aces per game.

Homewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Spain Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
