Baseball Game Preview: Frazier Mountain Falcons vs. McFarland Cougars

Frazier Mountain hasn't had much luck against McFarland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will take on the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. Frazier Mountain has given up an average of 21.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Frazier Mountain is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a 22-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mammoth. On the bright side, the 19- run performance marked the Falcons' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McFarland faced off against Delano on Thursday. The Cougars lost 15-5 to the Tigers. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Cris Soto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for McFarland: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7-1 otherwise. Eric Perez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Frazier Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for McFarland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1.
