Basketball Recap: Christian County Skates Past Fort Campbell with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Christian County over Fort Campbell in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Christian County Colonels blew the Fort Campbell Falcons out of the water with a 76-41 final score. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Colonels this season.

Fort Campbell's loss came despite strong showings from Tyrek Anthony and Israel Dillard. Anthony dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Dillard dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Dillard has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Cameron Henderson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

With the victory, Christian County broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-17. As for Fort Campbell, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Christian County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-30 loss against Warren Central on the 28th. As for Fort Campbell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-50 win against Crittenden County on the 3rd.
