Softball Recap: East Jessamine Takes a Loss

East Jessamine lost against Henry Clay on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Jessamine Jaguars might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-6 to the Henry Clay Blue Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kylee Oliver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Even though they lost, East Jessamine lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

East Jessamine now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Henry Clay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, East Jessamine will venture away from home to take on Madison Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Jessamine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Henry Clay, they will welcome Scott County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scott County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Henry Clay surely won't give up without a fight.
