Basketball Recap: Cosby Falls Short of Landstown in the Playoffs

Cosby and Landstown squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Cosby had to settle for second. They lost 81-59 to the Landstown Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly 22 points.

Landstown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Robinson, who on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The contest was Robinson's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Zaevion Cleveland, who en route to 17 points and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Cosby and nudges their season record down to 12-9. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Landstown, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Cosby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Landstown, they will take on Glen Allen on Thursday. Landstown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Glen Allen likes a good challenge.
