Basketball Recap: Nickerson Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Nickerson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 61-17 defeat at the hands of the Buhler Crusaders on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

Nickerson got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Madilyn Rohling and Centhiyan Bankston, who each put up four points. Shalie Powell held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Nickerson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-20 defeat against St. John on the 8th. As for Buhler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-38 loss against Goddard on the 9th.
