Recap: Welch Wildcats vs. Quapaw Wildcats
The Welch Wildcats were the 57-53 winner over the Quapaw Wildcats when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Welch fell just short of Quapaw by a score of 44-41.
Welch's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Hardin, who scored seven points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hardin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Clinton, who scored ten points.
Welch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Quapaw, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Welch will be playing in front of their home fans against Oaks-Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oaks-Mission is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Quapaw, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairland at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairland will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
