Softball Recap: Walnut Ridge Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Walnut Ridge couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 6-3 to the Lavaca Golden Arrows on Thursday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walnut Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karlee Broadway, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Lavaca, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Walnut Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lavaca has already played their next game (against DeWitt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
