Softball Recap: Person Wins Going Away Against Williams

Person's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 24-7 margin over the Williams Bulldogs. With that victory, the Rockets brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Madison Snead, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and three doubles. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Annie Adcock also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Snead wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Person kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. The Rockets are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Person back to even at 6-6. As for Williams, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Person has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Eastern Alamance on the 2nd. As for Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-9 victory against Grimsley on the 2nd.
