Chatham Central came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Eastern Randolph Wildcats, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-16.

Addison Goldston paced Chatham Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Goldston got some help from Chloe Brewer and her seven assists.

Chatham Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
