Basketball Recap: Clinton School Starts Season with Win on the Road

Clinton School had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Laguardia with a 31-26 win on Wednesday. For Clinton School, this counts as revenge for the 49-38 victory Laguardia walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Ivy Visser, who posted eight points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Yasmi Torres, who had five points and 12 boards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clinton School will venture away from home to challenge Hamer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Laguardia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Art & Design at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th. This will be Laguardia's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
