Recap: Bridges Prep Buccaneers vs. Royal Live Oaks Academy Royal Knights
The Bridges Prep Buccaneers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Royal Live Oaks Academy 59-4 on the road. Bridges Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bridges Prep found their leader in underclassman Makayla Lapp, who scored 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lapp has scored at least a third of Bridges Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Zariyah Henry, who scored 12 points.
Bridges Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Bridges Prep will take on Allendale-Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Allendale-Fairfax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bridges Prep in South Carolina (Allendale-Fairfax is ranked 65th, while Bridges Prep is ranked 248th). As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
