Softball Recap: Bloomfield Beats White River Valley for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bloomfield walked away with it. They put the hurt on the White River Valley Wolverines with a sharp 12-2 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Addison Lafree, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Gwenavere Klun was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for White River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will face off against Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eels have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. White River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
