Soccer Recap: Houghton Lake Takes a Loss

Houghton Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Tawas Area Braves. That's two games in a row now that Houghton Lake have lost by exactly six goals.

Houghton Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1. As for Tawas Area, they moved to 5-5-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Houghton Lake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Crossroads Charter Academy on the 9th. As for Tawas Area, they will face off against Oscoda at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tawas Area will be up against Oscoda's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.45 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
