Softball Recap: Tecumseh Picks Up 18th Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Tecumseh walked away with it. They never let the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Tecumseh's 18th in a row) raised their record to 25-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Tecumseh will square off against South Spencer at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. Evansville Mater Dei does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
