Basketball Recap: Marist's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

The Marist RedHawks came up short against the Sidwell Friends Quakers on Saturday and fell 46-34. The matchup marked the RedHawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sidwell Friends found their leader in sophomore Jadah Washington, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Washington has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Condon, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marist fell to 4-1. As for Sidwell Friends, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Marist will head out to face off against Hyde Park at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Sidwell Friends, they will venture away from home to take on DeMatha at 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
