Softball Recap: Bear Lake Comes Up Short

Bear Lake fell victim to Shelley and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 19-0 to the Russets. The Bears' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Bear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shelley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bear Lake will take on Snake River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shelley, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Minico at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Minico has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something Shelley will no doubt try to take advantage of.
