Football Recap: Collinsville Takes a Loss

Collinsville managed to slip by Centralia the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Kahoks came up short against the Orphans on Friday, falling 29-8. The match was a close 9-8 at the break, but unfortunately for the Kahoks it sure didn't stay that way.

Jace Wilkinson threw for 219 yards on 21 of 41 attempts. Loyal Patterson was his top target, picking up 121 receiving yards. On the ground, Lazarion Steward rushed for 55 yards.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Centralia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will face off against Carbondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centralia, they will challenge Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
