The Academe of the Oaks Firebirds lost against the Peachtree Academy Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Academe of the Oaks took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 74-21.

Peachtree Academy was led to victory by Noah Rodriguez and Nate Occilien-Similien. Rodriguez dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Occilien-Similien scored 16 points along with five steals. It was the first time this season that Occilien-Similien scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Baluta, who scored ten points.

Academe of the Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Peachtree Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Academe of the Oaks will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Classical Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Peachtree Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
