Recap: HRK Eagles vs. Cristo Rey St. Martin Knights
The HRK Eagles put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 47-25 margin over Cristo Rey St. Martin. That result was just more of the same for these two, as HRK also won the last time the pair played back in January.
HRK's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molli Ward, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds. Ward is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chelsey Gardner , who scored 12 points along with 5 steals.
HRK's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. HRK will square off against Ida Crown Jewish Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they will head out on the road to face off against Rochelle Zell Jewish at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
