Basketball Recap: Windsor Locks Takes a Loss

Windsor Locks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granby Memorial Bears. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Windsor Locks lost, don't look at Sincere Monroe. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 20 en route to 24 points and six rebounds. The game was Monroe's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jack Grasso was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and five assists.

Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Granby Memorial, their record now sits at 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks will head out to challenge East Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Windsor Locks' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Granby Memorial, they will challenge Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
