Softball Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

Tranquillity extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-11-1. They lost 18-0 to the Dos Palos Broncos. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for Dos Palos, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Dos Palos' part, Nayelli Sandoval was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Sandoval a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayla Bland, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Samantha Von Allman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
