Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Rocksprings' Third in Last Four Outings

Rocksprings won the last time they faced Leakey, and Alektra Hernandez did her part to make sure it happened again. The Rocksprings Angoras walked away with a 59-51 victory over the Leakey Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Hernandez, who posted 28 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Rocksprings' points.

Rocksprings is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-14-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Leakey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Rocksprings wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-41 loss against Nueces Canyon on the 7th. As for Leakey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-21 win against Knippa on the 7th.
