Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Florence Township Memorial Flashes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flashes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-0 back in March.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Florence Township Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will challenge Bordentown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florence Township Memorial, they will square off against Pennsauken at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Flashes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
