Softball Recap: Mansfield Snaps 13-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mansfield). They came out on top against the Negreet Indians by a score of 41-37 on Friday. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 20-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mansfield's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Negreet, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Mansfield will look to defend their home field on Monday against Jonesboro-Hodge at 5:00 p.m. Mansfield will need to watch out since Jonesboro-Hodge has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Negreet, they will face off against Converse at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
