Whitley County took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Leslie County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Colonels had just enough and edged out the Eagles 15-14 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Colonels as they're now sitting on four straight.

Whitley County pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Leslie County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Whitley County beat the Eagles by a score of 15-13 later that day.
