Basketball Game Preview: Westview Wildcats vs. Beaverton Beavers

Westview hasn't had much luck against Beaverton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Westview Wildcats will welcome the Beaverton Beavers at 7:00 p.m.

Westview is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Mountainside, falling 47-26. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Mavericks are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, Beaverton can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Southridge with a 52-46 win.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Beaverton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Westview came up short against Beaverton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 45-38. Can Westview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
