West Mesquite is a perfect 5-0 against Samuell since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wranglers will take on the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Samuell will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: West Mesquite extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Wranglers were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over North Mesquite.

West Mesquite got a massive performance out of Julianna Guitierrez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Garza, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

West Mesquite kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 12.

Meanwhile, Samuell made easy work of Adams on Tuesday and carried off a 12-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

West Mesquite's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Samuell, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything went West Mesquite's way against Samuell in their previous matchup back in March, as West Mesquite made off with a 17-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wranglers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
