Shadow Creek had won six straight road games dating back to last season and Tavis Coleman did his part to make it seven on Thursday. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 47-24 margin over the Dobie Longhorns with plenty of help from Coleman, who threw for 219 yards and four touchdowns. He has become a key player for Shadow Creek: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Shadow Creek's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Dobie, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Shadow Creek will welcome Pasadena Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Sharks will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dobie, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pearland at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Oilers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
