Baseball Game Preview: Fair Lawn Cutters vs. Hackensack Comets

The Fair Lawn Cutters will head out on the road to face off against the Hackensack Comets at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Fair Lawn has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Fair Lawn didn't have quite enough to beat Passaic Valley and fell 4-3.

Hackensack couldn't beat Fort Lee on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. Neither the Comets nor the Bridgemen could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 7-7 draw.

With that draw, Hackensack's record moves to 7-6-1. As for Fair Lawn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Fair Lawn beat Hackensack 7-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Cutters repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
