Recap: Davison Cardinals vs. Lapeer Lightning
The Davison Cardinals put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 76-35 victory over Lapeer at home. Considering Davison has won six matches by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Aj Hill was his usual excellent self, rushing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. Hill hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Glennie, who threw for 254 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Davison's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Lapeer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Davison will look to defend their home field on Friday against Grand Blanc at 7:00 p.m. Grand Blanc will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Davison is ranked third). Lapeer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
