Basketball Recap: Velva Comes Up Short

Velva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washburn Cardinals. The game marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Velva's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Washburn, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Velva will be home for the holidays to greet Garrison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Washburn, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 3:15 p.m. on December 30th.
