Basketball Recap: Winnetonka Takes a Loss

Winnetonka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Grandview Bulldogs 52-16. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-12 back in January.

Lariah Tucker went supernova for Grandview, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 15 points and four steals. Tucker has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Smith, who posted ten points and three steals.

Winnetonka's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Grandview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Winnetonka has already played their next matchup (against Raytown South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grandview, they have already played their next contest, a 68-43 victory against Kearney on the 25th.
