Softball Recap: Technology Takes a Loss

Technology was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Tomales Braves, falling 34-14. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 28-10 loss back in March.

Harper Koeniges and Alice Matticola did some serious damage despite the final result: Koeniges scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Matticola scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Matticola also put up a hit, which was her first of the season. Abigail Lower was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Technology's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Tomales, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Technology is set to take on their familiar foe Potter Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tomales will square off against rival Willits at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
