Soccer Game Preview: Fox Tech vs. Lanier

The Fox Tech Buffaloes will face off against the Lanier Voks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Fox Tech turned things around against Sam Houston on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over the Hurricanes. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lanier). They blew past Sam Houston 9-2 on Friday. It was an even better day for Levis Bernardez as he scored three goals for his team.

Fox Tech's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Lanier, their win bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Fox Tech suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Lanier in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
