Basketball Recap: Accelerate Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Accelerate Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Sharp Academy Sabers 74-33. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Accelerate Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Miller out in front who went 11 for 21 en route to 24 points. Those 24 points gave Miller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reece Griffin, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 20 points.

Timothy Rodriguez and Michael Boyles certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Rodriguez posted five points in addition to 24 boards and four steals, while Boyles put up 20 points and five rebounds. That was a full 60.6% of Sharp Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Accelerate Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Sharp Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
